Pre trip planning

When I was 15 years old, my dream was to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro... until the desire abruptly ended when I watched a television special featuring the climb. It looked hard, it looked like it hurt, and most of all, it didn't look liked fun. For another 15 years this desire lay dormant until one fateful night I awoke at 4 am and suddenly knew I needed to climb it for whatever reason. This or I didn't know what to do for my 30th birthday and rather than have to think about it, climbing a mountain seemed to be the better choice. By the way, rarely do good ideas appear at 4 in the morning. This one is still debatable.

So now I am slooowly getting into Kili mode and for some reason feel myself procrastinating. Visa - check! Boots - check!... I've sort of stopped there. I bought my boots a week ago but have only worn them twice (I'm pretty sure I just heard you gasp. Everyone else does when I tell them that) as I've been training for the Toronto Half and working them in was unfortunately counter-productive for my feet. Even more unfortunate is going into Kili with two black toes from a half-marathon! I admit, I hadn't really thought this through... Hopefully some inspiration comes from somewhere and I start getting my act together.
